"Maaaybe," Kerra answers slowly.
"Is it Malcolm's?"
Dennis makes sure to tell her how much he appreciated her presence in his life. He isn't sure where the sentimentality came from - maybe it was the holiday spirit.
It's a good thing he did - she died two days later.
"Get out before I pummel you into the pink and mint tiles," Melarkey snaps, trying to hide her blush behind a scowl.
"That's nice," Melarkey hums. She can't fathom where her daughter got all her energy from. Melarkey had never been particularly interested in the expanded world - just her family, and Dennis, and writing mediocre books.
"I'm thinking Debate Team," Bennet muses aloud. "And a Study Group. Y'know, to keep my grades up."
"Remember to sleep at some point," says Melarkey.
"Have you ever wanted to go?" Bennet presses.
The teen sighs and looks to her other side, where her grandmother seems perfectly content to play with the cat all day. Why does nobody else in this family seem to find Sunset Valley so boring?
