Melarkey's first day as a married woman begins.
All the wedding stuff got left out in the yard overnight, so Tiberius cleans it up the next day. It's all soaked, which is gross, and the leftovers are ruined, which is a huge bummer.
Cadydid continues to tolerate Dennis' presence.
A spring gnome is found strutting about the front lawn, so he's put on top of the dresser in Melarkey and Dennis' room.
"I dub thee, Snozzy."
Love Day is coming up, and Dennis decides it's time for him to start taking his marriage seriously. First, he has to find his wife the perfect gift.
He finds the perfect flowers out in the yard. Melarkey likes gardens and stuff, right?
He also pockets some wild seeds that were laying around. Since Dennis is a loser, he doesn't want to get an actual job. So, he plans to make money by selling random things he finds outside. Like seeds.
Melarkey waters her garden in her pajamas, while it's raining.
Dennis decided the flowers he found in the yard weren't special enough for Melarkey. He puts them by the kitchen sink and vows to find something even better.
Melarkey discovers she's pregnant.
Dennis is pretty hyped about it.
Also, here's where Tide and Anlah ended up living after they eloped. It's a really nice house, with a pool and a garage and everything. It's probably better than the legacy house.
Dennis hogs Tiberius' computer so he can catfish people online, so Tiberius sits down and finally reads one of his daughters' books. It's... interesting.
Further attempts at being a good husband.
Cadydid decides she can forgive him for the wedding incident; it's impossible to stay mad at someone who makes the whole family mac n' cheese.
Snozzy escapes the bedroom when nobody's looking, and makes it all the way to the television set before being noticed.
Back to the dresser top he goes!
Pregnant woman gardening.
Love day is here! Cadydid and Tiberius act mushy-gushy for the special day.
Dennis still hasn't found the perfect flower yet, and scours the hills near the legacy house in search of one.
Finally.
He presents it to Melarkey.
"Aww, Dennis, you shouldn't have!"
"Aww, Dennis, you shouldn't have!"
Rewarded appropriately.
The flowers get their own place on the dresser, right next to Snozzy.
A few days later, Dennis receives some packages in the mail. They're all the gems and metals he found while up in the mountains and had sent away to be appraised, smelted, and etc. Looks like his "job" is finally bringing in some revenue!
He insists the family set up some shelves in the hallway so he can display some of his findings. They're still pretty bare, but Dennis has plans to fill them with all sorts of cool-looking gems.
Melarkey discusses the parenthood with her own parents. Tiberius lays down some wisdom and experience; Cadydid just kind of listens.
And then!!!
It's going to be a spring baby, but there's still snow.
When Melarkey returns home, the entire family is waiting at the door in anticipation. She walks past them with a smile plastered to her face.
"That's my kid!" Dennis squeals.
"That's my kid!" Dennis squeals.
Alone in the nursery, Melarkey stares down at her new little girl, Bennet, with a blank expression.
"I am never going through that ever again," she whispers to herself.
