Once upon a time on Cherry Blossom Island, there lived a man named Tiberius Soapberry. He had green elf hair.
There was also his wife, Cadydid Soapberry. She had a lot of freckles.
With their powers combined, they've made waffles, cleaned dishes, and will possibly be the founders of an epic legacy.
But for now - breakfast.
Cadydid slips away almost immediately and heads for the ocean. Tiberius notices her absence, but isn't surprised.
Cadydid is a quiet sim, who likes spending time by herself. She's also a natural fisherwoman and spends most of her waking hours standing in front of the ocean with a fishing rod.
Back at home, Tiberius starts his first literary masterpiece, a fiction novel titled Under Where? Neither he nor Cadydid are cut out for the traditional workforce, so they're going to live off the income of fish and poorly-titled books. Somehow.
By some miracle, it seems to be working.
It's a boring and uneventful home. When they aren't working, each half of the couple prefer their own, individual activities.
Based on outward appearances, you'd think they were completely loveless. In reality, it's more of a result of personalities - Cadydid keeps to herself on extreme levels, and Tiberius has no problem throwing himself into his own projects.
Still, on the rare occasion that she does initiate contact, Tiberius loves listening to her talk, even if the subject is almost always fishing.

Nighttime fishing.
Tiberius breaks the sink.
A starving artist diet of canned soup and microwave meals.
Tiberius spends almost every day at home, and ends up doing most of the chores.
Cadydid does more fishing.
About halfway through the day she suffers from a crippling bout of nausea. Is she sick? Is the smell of the dead fish in her inventory finally getting to her? Was she poisoned by a microwave meal?
Oh well, back to work.
What a catch! This'll bring in four, maybe five whole simoleons.
Somehow, Tiberius got his first book published, and is now working on the rough draft for an exciting sci-fi novel, Shooting for the Moon. No decent writer's repertoire is complete without at least one sci-fi novel.
"You know, I think we should start a family soon," Tiberius says one day.
"..." Cadydid eventually nods.
"..." Cadydid eventually nods.
"Soon" becomes "right now" when Cadydid learns that she's pregnant that night. Oops! But, good oops.
